Citizenship Year 10

Citizenship is a vital subject in today's world which covers many topics that are at the heart of our society and our faith. Through the GCSE we consider rights, responsibilities, duties and freedoms and about laws, justice and democracy. As young people, you will develop skills and understanding to play an effective role in public life. It will help you to become informed, critical, active citizens who have the confidence and conviction to work collaboratively, take action and try to make a difference in your communities and the wider world.

This year we will be exploring a range of different topics and issues

During Year 8 we study a range of subjects including Globalisation, Diversity, Human Rights and Financial Capability as well as completing an Active Citizenship module and taking on an adult role in the Real Game

During Year 7, all students in Year 7 study a range of topics within the Citizenship and PSHE National Curriculum.

Under PSHE, we study Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL), Healthy Lifestyles and Risk.

Under Citizenship, we study Democracy and Fairness.
